Joseph “Joe” Andrew Spitzig, of Walkerton passed away at Brucelea Haven, Walkerton on Monday, April 5, 2021. He was 84.
Beloved spouse of Mary Zister (nee Edgar). Loving father of Christine (Kelly) Dougherty of Arthur, Kathy (Gary) Nickel of Listowel, Donna (Bruce) Beamish of Walkerton, Rosemary (Glenn) Voisin of Formosa and David (Erika) Zister of Chepstow. Cherished grandfather of Johnathan and Justin Dougherty, Brittany and Dan Beamish, Amy Mason and Andrew Voisin and great-grandfather of Sierra, Austin, Cheyenne and Maverick Mason and Isla Voisin. Dear brother of Cyril (Bea) of Chepstow, Dorothy (Walter) Zettler of Walkerton, Norbert (Carol) of Mildmay and Earl of Formosa and brother-in-law of Elaine Spitzig, Marilyn Spitzig and Florence Spitzig all of Walkerton.
Joe was predeceased by his brothers Maurice, Andrew and Ray, sister-in-law Christine Spitzig, brother-in-law Harvey Kliest and parents Albin and Clara (nee Zettler) Spitzig.
Private family Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel officiating.
Interment in Mary Immaculate Cemetery, Chepstow.
