John Leslie Mattinson
(September 15, 1938 – December 26, 2021)
John Leslie Mattinson of Camrose, AB, formerly of Viking, AB, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the age of 83 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon; children Stan Mattinson (Rita Hafso) of New Sarepta, Leaha Mattinson of Camrose, and Stacie (Murray) Prichard of Forestburg; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Joyce) Mattinson of Camrose; sister-in-law Pauline Mattinson of Camrose; and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his parents William and Jane; sister Rosemary; brother Tom; brother-in-law George Fortier; nieces Laureen and Maureen Mattinson; and great-niece Brittany Taylor.
Due to Alberta Health regulations, a private family service will be held. The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021, on the St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church website: stfxcamrose.caedm.ca/ and a recording of the funeral mass will be available following the service on the St. Francis Xavier Church website under “Recorded Masses”.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in John’s memory may be made to the Camrose Chapter – Huntington’s Society, or to the St. Francis Xavier Building Fund.
