John Joseph Johnny Blanchard 1940 2021

The death occurred suddenly at his late residence on Sunday,
November 28, 2021, of John Joseph (Johnny) Blanchard beloved husband
of Rose Ann (nee Doucette) Blanchard of Philip Street, Tignish, age 81
years. Born at St. Roch on August 20, 1940, he was trhe son of Peter
Maxime and Edna Mary (nee Arsenault) Blanchard.
Loving father to Maxime of Toronto, Irene (Leo) of
Wellington, Geraldine (deceased 2012), Thelma of Toronto, Anita of
Summerside, Catherine of Alberton, Darlene (Troy) of Charlottetown,
and Christine of Summerside. He will be sadly missed by his 18
grandchildren and by his 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to
Raymond of Alma, Gerard (Brenda) of Alberton, Frederick (June) of St.
Roch, Joseph (Rose) of Cascumpec, Ida of Toronto, Anne Marie of
Toronto, Noreen (David) of Toronto and Anita
(deceased).
Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel, Alberton, for
a public visitation on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral mass
on Thursday morning (for invited guests only) from St. Simon and St.
Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. John
Molina, celebrant. Interment to follow in the church
cemetery.
Proof of double vaccination and ID required to attend the
visitation.
Visitors are asked to enter through the chapel entrance.
