John Jack Close 19372021

John “Jack” Close
1937-2021
John “Jack” Coleman Close, 83,
of Salisbury, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 22,
2021. Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Gordon and Reta
(Spence) Close.
After working for Westinghouse as Branch
manager in Edmonton, Toronto, and lastly in Moncton for many years,
Jack decided to form his own company, Triangle Exports, to export to
Bermuda and the Turks and Caicos Islands. He later started his J C.
Close renovation company in Salisbury, often enlisting his friends and
family to help. He was proud of, and enjoyed his work, was interested
in technology, ordering new things on Amazon, and engineering his own
inventions. He was a former legion member, partaking in dart
tournaments and a friendly game of pool. Most of all, he cherished
time with his grandchildren and loved playing golf daily with his
brother Allan.
Survived and sadly missed by
his children, Carmen (Piero) Benacquista, Chantal (Andrew) Steel, Cory
(Jesse) Close, and Carol (Fred Mallery) Jensen; grandchildren,
Michael, Maresa, Haden, Crosby, Chloë, Colten, Jaxon, Jacob,
Julie, Harley, and Jack; brother, Gordon “Allan” Close;
mother of his oldest children, Madge Britton; and many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jack was
predeceased by his son, Craig; brother, Greg; and mother of his
youngest children, Claudette Richard.
Family and friends are invited to a
Graveside Service on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 11 am at The Pine
Hill Cemetery, Salisbury. Arrangements in care of The
