John Francis Carten
1941-2021
John Francis Carten of Upper Durham, died on March 15, 2021,
at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. He was born on August 13, 1941,
in Boston, MA, and was the son of the late Leo A. and Della M. (Reid)
Carten.
He is survived by two sisters Anne Berggren (Bob) of Nebraska
and Ruth DeCoste of Arkansas, as well as several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by sister
Mary Leach of Dunedin, Florida, Christine Leddy of Saginaw, Michigan
and Margaret Carten of Dolgellau, Wales, as well as a brother Leo H.
Carten of Hudson, New Hampshire.
By John’s request, there will be no visitation and
cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at J.A.
McAdam Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2 pm with Fr.
Peter Osborne officiating. Please call the funeral home at (506)
458–9170 to reserve a space as seating is limited due to
COVID restrictions.
