It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joanne Marjorie Cragg (nee Seale) on Monday, September 20, 2021 at the age of 81, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of 56 years to Ross Cragg. Loving mother of Mary (Gavin) Corbeil, John (Yan), and Adam (Debbie). Proud grandmother of Sam, Ben, Joey, Sophie, Taidgh, and Eoin. Dear sister of Judy (Mike) Atterbury and Janet (Lloyd) McDiarmid.
Joanne was loving, brilliant, and patient. Known for her practical approach to life, she demonstrated understanding and compassion to all those around her. She was a devoted wife and mother, who always had time to talk, and would listen without judgement. She was an intellectual with a wealth of knowledge in all aspects of life. With her positive outlook and ability to laugh even in the toughest of times, she had a sense of humour to the end. She was happiest spending time with family and friends, summering at the cottage with a book to read, a puzzle to do, and a glass of wine.
Respecting the family’s wishes, no formal services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
