James Charles Jenkins ~ At rest 1924 – 2021 ~ World War II D. Day Juno Beach Veteran. At the age of 96 Jim passed away July 27, 2021. Forever loved by his wife Joan, son Cameron (Nicole), daughter Jane (Geoffrey), also his grandchildren Charlie, Oliver, Hilary, and Addie. Survived by his siblings Marylin, Joyce, Bob, Gerald, Garnet and Rose and cousin Kay. Predeceased by Herald. After 4 1/2 years service for our country, Jim and his business partner formed the B and J Hardware Company 1956. Their main location being Bayview Village for 32 years. In 1984 he received the HDVE Achievement Award for his contribution to this industry serving on the C.R.H. Board and was the first ever north American representative to serve on the IFJARD. A great lover of sports but hockey the dearest. In early years he sponsored and personally coached a North York Hockey Team. A member of Ramses Shrine, Scottish Rite and Life member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #67 Lindsay. Following cremation, a private burial will take place at Little Britain Christian Cemetery. Never would the about words be complete without our gratitude above and beyond to, Our family, Dr. Mervin Jackson, his co-worker Karen Lock and our sincere caring friends at Bayshore and Spectrum particularly Rikay, Joseph, Beverly, Maria, Charlta, and Gloria.
