Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of James “Jim” Edward Carlson which occurred suddenly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, April 12th, 2021. Born January 8th, 1951, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Ernest and Cecilia (Burke) Carlson. Jim worked in sales for many years and retired from Canwel. He was an avid reader and loved baseball, especially the New York Yankees. He was a proud hockey dad and he cherished every moment spent with his family.
Jim is survived by his sons Pat Carlson (Tara), Scott Carlson and Chris Carlson (Heather) all of Saint John and their mother Carol; grandchildren Hope, Noah, Chace, James, Abigail, Whitney, Oliver and Benjamin; great grandson Xavier; brother Ernest Carlson of Saint John; special brother Jimmy McDougall and special friend Bev Baxter; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, April 15th from 6 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, April 16th at 1 p.m. followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
