Obituary
On June 13, 2021, Jerry Molenkamp, beloved husband, father and opa went home to his Heavenly Father at the age of 88.
He was born in Slochteren, The Netherlands to Nikolaas and Grietje and immigrated to Canada in 1950. He married Joanne (Tieneke) Boersma in 1969 and settled in the Uncas area where they raised their three children on the family farm.
Jerry is survived by his wife Joanne (Tieneke); children, Catherine (Anthony), Freda (Howard) and Nico (Krystal); grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Caleb, Joel, Trent and Levi; sisters- in-law, Grace Molenkamp, Rennie Molenkamp, Ank Vogel, Lien Boersma, and Freida Boersma; brothers-in-law, Thomas Boersma and Jaap (Iet) Boersma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry is predeceased by his two brothers, Herman and Morris; his sisters-in-law, Coby Bosch and Hennie Boersma; and his brothers-in-law, Hijme Boersma, Harm Bosch, and Cor Vogel.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 18th at 11 am for his immediate family (due to current restrictions). For those who wish to attend virtually, live-streaming will be available at youtu.be/ae46-C6ZgiU
The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers at the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital for their kind and gentle care of Jerry.
