JEAN BUTLER
Jean Butler, 89, of Mitchell passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Bill Butler (2012). Dear mother of Nancy Verberne (Martin), Wayne Butler (Fran) and Lori McDougall (Grant). Loving grandmother of Chad Verberne (Alicia), Brett Verberne (Jennifer), Kyle Verberne (Hilary), Stacy Jordan (Fraser), Stephanie McDougall (Cody) and Sydney McDougall (Tom). Cherished great grandmother of Logan, Tyler, Denver, Kasen, Luken, Ellie, Ethan, Henry, Lincoln, Kinsley, Karson, Cruz, Sadie and Jayden. Dear sister of Laurine McIntosh, Jack Cooke and Pearl Graver (Arnold). Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents John and Reta Cooke and brothers-in-law Oliver McIntosh and Harold Butler.
Jean was a member of Upper Thames Missionary Church, the Red Hat Society and volunteered greatly in her community. She loved to travel, a good game of cards and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sports and being their “#1 Fan”.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. Jean’s funeral service may be viewed at LockhartFuneralHome.com on Thursday. Memorial donations to the Ritz Villa Redevelopment Fund would be appreciated and may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
