James “Jim” Hudson
1931-2021
James Edward Hudson of Aroostook, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel
Dieu St. Joseph Hospital on the evening of July 1, 2021.
Jim was born in Grand Falls, NB, on May 25, 1931. He was the son of
the late Edward and Florence (McQuade) Hudson. Jim leaves behind
several nieces and nephews. He was the late surviving member of his
family.
Jim was predeceased by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth Hudson
(Rogers); his sisters, Grace McCluskey (Gerard) and Ardith Hand
(Gilbert); his brother, Allister Hudson (Joyce).
Jim served with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was stationed in
Germany, served during the Korean War, and was also stationed in North
American during peace time. He was a member of the Royal Canadian
Legion, Branch # 36, and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus,
Council # 6414.
Respecting Jim’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service
will be held on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 11 am from Our Lady of Mercy
Catholic Church. Father Gilbert Doddatto celebrating. Interment will
follow in the parish cemetery.
Due to Covid-19 restriction, a maximum of 50 people are allowed to
attend the funeral and masks are mandatory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Our Lady of Mercy
Cemetery or Church Fund would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover, NB.
