Obituary
Jacqueline (Jackie) Kelly (nee Godin) of Oromocto passed away on the First of May following a three-and-one-half month struggle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Robert (Bob); 2 daughters, Jennifer of Victoria, British Columbia and Jocelyn of Guelph, Ontario; four brothers and one sister, Leo-Paul, Ronald, Victor and Marina Chiasson, all of Bertrand, New Brunswick, and Jean-Guy of Terrebonne, Quebec.
Jacqueline was born on November 17, 1940 in Bertrand, New Brunswick, where she grew up. After graduation, she worked for the New Brunswick Government in Fredericton. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Also in keeping with her wishes, her remains were sent to the Dalhousie University Medical School.
Jacqueline’s family extends their thanks to the staffs of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital where she received treatments for cancer. Jacqueline spent the last months of her life at Hospice House in Fredericton.
Her family is deeply grateful to the staff and volunteers of Hospice House where Jacqueline was treated with great kindness and received excellent professional care.
