Jack Edward Taylor 1937 2021

Obituary of Jack Edward Taylor
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Jack E. Taylor.
Beloved husband of the late Doreen (2006), son of the late Sam Taylor and Eileen Pitcher.
Dear father of David (Kara), Chris (Diane), and Tracey Lucier (Ric). Grandfather of Sean (Agne), Dylan, Chris, Matt, Josh, Brett, Reed, Meahgan, Joel, Todd, Jarrod, and Alyssa (Rob). He will be missed by four beautiful great grandchildren, Lukas, Daisy, Ayden, and Jack.
Predeceased by his brothers Sam (Marilyn), and Jim (Milly).
Jack worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital until retirement. He filled his free time playing hockey as a goalie for the Chatham Oldtimers Hockey Team. Jack enjoyed golf, and shooting pool; loved singing, writing both songs and poems, and reading. He even wrote a novel, which he recently finished.
Jack loved his family the most and enjoyed all our get-togethers. He also had an incredible friend, the late Bill Dickson, whom we considered family as well, along with Bill’s wife Pat, and his children Bill (Cheryl), Mike, and Don.
Cremation will take place, with interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. A Private Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Jack’s memory may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
