Obituary of Irene Marie Marleau
It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the death of our dear mother, Irene Marleau (Née Bourdon), at the Welland Hospital on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at the age of 97. Beloved wife of the late Yvan Marleau. Loving mother of Guy Marleau (Onilda), Gilles Marleau (Roxanne), Denis Marleau (Silvana), Suzanne Marleau and Lise Roy (Gary). She will be missed by her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lina Perrin. Predeceased by her parents; Antoine & Rita Bourdon (née Boulerice), siblings; Louis Paul Bourdon, Avila Bourdon, Marie Unger, Cecil McGirr and Theresa Smith.
We would like to thank all the PSWs who took very good care of her as well as the nurses and doctor at the Welland Hospital.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the WELLAND FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 827 East Main St., Welland, Friday, December 10, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Private interment will take place at a later date. Please click the R.S.V.P. link through our website to schedule your attendance. For those that do not have access to our website please call to reserve your attendance. Those that attend are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Lining-up and cycling of guests will be managed by the funeral home staff both indoors and outdoors. As expression of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
