Irene Chartrand Viens 2021

On September 23, 2021, at 88 years of age, Irene embarked on a final journey to rejoin her beloved husband, best friend and dancing partner of 59 years, Rene (March 2021). Together they enjoyed square dancing, clogging, lawn bowling and travelling.
They were long-time members of Christ the King Church, South Windsor Senior’s Fun Band, and Free on Friday’s. Irene was an avid quilter, crafter, seamstress and fantastic cook. She was famous for her meat pies, banana split dessert and family get-togethers.
Dear daughter of the late John and Laurencia Viens. Predeceased by her siblings Gaile Robinson, Eugene Viens, and Emile Viens. Irene is survived by her brother Rene Vien and sister-in-law Geraldine Chartrand. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. There is great comfort in knowing that Irene and Rene are together again.
