Ingeburg Dunger (nee Krumpholz)
January 2, 1934 – June 5, 2021
With aching hearts and so much sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mutti and Oma. She will forever live on in us.
Inge was predeceased by her husband Hans (1984), and her son Rudy (2007), as well as many relatives.
Her cherished memory continues in her children Wolfgang, Carl (Rene), and Diana (Gordon); grandchildren Jaslyn, Haley, Mark (Rhonda), Jordon and Mathew; and great-grandchildren Braeden, Kaliegh, Nolan, Emily and Sadie, whom she adored dearly.
Born in Goggingen Bezirksamt Augsborg, Inge grew into a hard worker as a child working on a farm – she said it was very difficult working with all adults, she then worked in a drugstore to help support her family. In 1953 (as a very young adult), mom immigrated to Canada on her own to start another journey of hard work and continued to help her family. Mom always worked hard. Not after long, she met our father Hans and was married shortly after.
Continuing to work throughout at Eaton’s and Canadian News. She was passionate about sewing, knitting, crocheting, needlework, reading and music. Her focus was always on her children and their growing families. She loved all children so much. Mom was very proud of earning and celebrating her Canadian Citizenship in 1984 as it was very important to her.
She had a challenge with illness and fought to overcome it with her usual courage and positivity.
Mom made so many friendships throughout her life as she was an unpretentious individual always putting others’ feelings before her own. A soft-spoken gentle soul that brought a quiet source of comfort and wisdom.
Her deep spirituality helped her throughout her life. Her strength, kindness, love, grace and patience was shown at all times.
There may be many beautiful sunsets, flowers and friends, but there is only one mother in the world to each family and ours has lost a loving Mutti and Oma.
