We are saddened to announce the passing of a father, grandfather and great grand father at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville at the age of 83 after a brief illness.
Predeceased by his beautiful granddaugher Jessica Young (June 18, 2021), wife Edith, parents Walter and Bessie, sister Maxine Schamper, brothers Walter and John Young, mother of his children Bonita Squires. Also predeceased by his infant sisters Eva and Shirley, his infant brothers Howard, Gerald, Malcolm and Oliver.
Leaving to mourn are his five sons Woodrow (Sherry), Edmonton, Michael (Ena) Musgravetown, Peter, Port Blandford, Steven (Darlene) Bunyan’s Cove, Justin (Jill) Mississauga.
His grandchildren Trevor Young (Giselle), Andy Young, Jonathan Young (Sinead), Alexis Young, Sam Young, Aaron Young, Matthew Bates (Jessica), Michele Bates (Russ). His great grandchildren Carter, Mason, Cole, Byrnn and Brady. Also leaving to mourn his sister-in-Law Caroline Young, Lethbridge, many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Including his extended family for the past six years at the Greenwood Seniors Home, Musgravetown.
Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Lethbridge on Thursday, June 24 from 10 am to 11 am, 12 – 1 p.m., 2 – 3 p.m. and 4 – 5 p.m. with Covid guidelines to be followed. Please contact Ena 427-4400 if you wish to attend a viewing. Funeral service at Heritage United Church, Musgravetown, 2 p.m. Friday, June 25, 2021 with interment at United Cemetery, Musgravetown. Due to covid attendence at funeral is by invitation. Please contact Ron Morgan 427-5748 if you would like to attend. Donations in memory Fellowship Club Musgravetown where he went on regular basis to play cards.
