Howard Edward Bester of Point Clark, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Kincardine, at age 61. Beloved husband of Laurie (nee Fischer) and loving father to Tiffany (Chris) Cook of Gadshill, Dana (Jeremy) Wright of Walkerton, and Abby (Matt) Drysdale of Listowel. Proud grandpa of Ryerson, Elliott, Bennett, Cohen, Sophia, Nolan, and Callie. Howard will be missed by his siblings Bea (Francis) Schaefer of Belmore, Paul (Barb) of Point Clark, Brenda (Tom) Hurley of Listowel, sisters-in-law Linda Bester, Lorrie Bester, Sharon Bester all of Walkerton, and Mary Bester of Saskatoon. Remembered by his mother-in-law Lorraine Fischer of Mildmay, brothers-and-sisters-in-law Anna Lou Strauss of Kitchener, Debbie (Bruce) Kamrath of Kincardine, Wayne Fischer, Connie (Paul) Bohnert, Karen (Simon) Huber, Mike (Elaine) Fischer, and Rhonda Fischer all of Mildmay. Howard will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, friends, and fishing buddies.
Predeceased by his brothers Vic, Fred, Ray, and Philip, parents Charles and Agnes (nee Gray) Bester, father-in-law Morley Fischer, and brother-in-law Dan Strauss.
A celebration of Howard’s life will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Cargill Community Centre, Cargill. A time of remembrance will take place at 1:00 p.m., followed by casual visitation until 4:00 p.m. All attendees must show proof of full vaccination, masks are required.
