RIKA BROSENS
Rika Brosens, 91, of Mitchell and formerly of Dublin passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Ritz Villa on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.
Beloved wife of the late Louis Brosens (2010). Dear mother of John Brosens (Gladys), Dianne Brown (Roger), Cathy Scott (Paul) and Susie Elliott (Stephen, deceased 2013). Loving grandmother of Michael Brosens (Annie), Amberly Boissonneault (Kellen), Candace Larsen (Ian), Gavin Brown (Sarah), Jeff Scott, Stephanie LeLacheur (Marc), Jenny Crown, Dave Elliott (AJ), Victoria Smith (James) and Craig Elliott (Samantha). Cherished great grandmother of 17 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Maria Suykerbuyk and Lena Van Bergen, both of Holland. Dear sister-in-law of Nellie Van Nynatten, Mary Van Nynatten, Catherine Moons, Andy Brosens and Dick De Haas. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Mom travelled to Canada at the age of 21 to rejoin with the love of her life and also became a talented, well known seamstress for Dublin and area for many years. She was a loving, dedicated, amazing mom and grandma that also enjoyed friends, good times and being a generous host. Her witty, kind and accepting personality will never be forgotten. “To know her was to love her.” Special thanks to the wonderful staff for their love, care and support that was given to mom and our family during her stay at the Ritz Villa.
