Obituary for
Helen Anderson
Helen Anderson, beloved wife of Bob Anderson for 44 years, was taken from us suddenly on July 29, 2021 at the age of 62 years.
Helen is survived by her three children, Michael (Jennifer), Jason (Veronica) and Katryna (Lachlan); five grandchildren, Kaelin, Savannah, Austin, Claire and Emily; brother, Gene (Barb) Dejneka; and sisters-in-law, Betty-Lou Palko and Linda (Ron) Wizniak. Not to be forgotten by her ever-loving sheltie, Meeka. Also left to mourn are many nieces, nephews and close friends. Predeceased by her parents, John and Anna Dejneka; and brother-in law, Harry Palko.
Helen loved showering her family with love and attention. Christmas, birthdays and anniversaries were always big events. She adored all things Hallmark and Disney, especially family trips to Disneyland. Her Ukrainian Christmas cooking was legendary, as were her hugs. Helen was the head of our table and she will be dearly missed.
Prayer Service Monday, August 9 at 7 p.m. at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 10825 – 97 Street NW, Edmonton.
Divine Liturgy Tuesday, August 10 at 10 a.m.at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral. Cathedral Clergy officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please do something special with those you love.
