CAVALIERE-BRUINSMA: Helen Marion Elizebeth – 81 of Stratford passed away peacefully, with family by her side, at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. She was born in North Easthope Township, Perth County on August 9, 1939 a daughter of the late Stewart and Mary (Hilcox) McNab.
She had worked with MDS Labs prior to her retirement in 1999.
Helen was predeceased by her first husband, Mario Cavaliere on October 4, 2006. She is survived by her second husband, Charlie Bruinsma, whom she married in Goderich on September 23, 2010; four children, Stewart Cavaliere and Deborah Roy, Teresa and Kevin Cook, Jamie and Kerrie Cavaliere, Mary and Andrew MacAlpine; nine grandchildren, Kyle Cook (Kylie), Kayla Cook (Curtis), Brooke Cavaliere, Aiden MacAlpine, Jack MacAlpine, Alison MacAlpine, Kody Coombs, Paige Cavaliere and Jayden Cavaliere; two great grandsons, Holden Cash and Huxley Ballance; four step-children, Kim Mason (Brian), Vicki Anderson (Randy), Mike Bruinsma (Dana), Shawn Bruinsma (Laura) and eleven step great grandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law Alex and Iris McNab and sisters-in-law, Maria Cavaliere and Assunta Anastasia.
Helen was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Hazel McNab, Russell and Marcella McNab.
Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Saturday, July 24th from 1 – 3 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare.
