It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Helen Florence Olson (nee Gjesdal), late of Saskatoon, SK formerly of Birch Hills, SK at the age of 93 years. Helen was born March 12th,1928 and passed away June 25th, 2021. Helen is survived by her children Dan (Cheryl) Olson of Regina, SK; Glenda (Kel) Harder of Parkland County, AB; Carmen (Keith) Lohrenz of Lethbridge, AB & Arlen (Cheryl) Olson of Saskatoon, SK. Her grandchildren Aaron (Leigh-Anne) Olson, Travis (Roxanne) Olson, Naomi Olson, Matthew (Laura) Harder, Kyle Lohrenz, Sarah Lohrenz, Danae Lohrenz, Cooper (Darcie) Olson, Carter (Haley) Olson. Her great grandchildren Rainer, Piper, Cadence, Jack Olson, Liam, Carys, Leia Olson, Soren Olson, Blake, Grayson Harder, & Anastasia Olson. Her siblings Raymond (Marie) Gjesdal of Calgary, AB; Mae (Fanuel) Lima of Carrot River, SK; Alfred (Amy) Gjesdal of Saskatoon, SK; Eileen Borrelli of Nanaimo, BC; Alice Bourcier of Nanaimo, BC; Eldon (Marj) Gjesdal, of Edmonton, AB; & Bettie (Wayne) Tyndall, of Davidson, SK. As well as many nieces and nephews. Helen is predeceased by her husband Gulfred Olson (2006); her son Marvin Olson (1953), her granddaughter Kayla Lohrenz (1992); Her son-in-law Dale Stewart (1998); & Her brothers-in-law Carmen Borrelli & Albert Bourcier. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 28th, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at Weldon Lutheran Cemetery, in Weldon, SK. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, Helen’s family would welcome donations to Canadian Lutheran World Relief(www.clwr.org) or a charity of the donor’s choice.
