Obituary
In Memory of Harold Irving
1920 to 2021
Veteran WWII
After 100 years, 9 months and 10 days, Harold Irving passed away early in the morning of August 30, 2021.
He died very peacefully at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew in the care of the wonderful and compassionate staff.
Harold was a kind man who lived a long and meaningful life. Harold is survived by his brother Bob (Judy); his children Judith Snider (Owen), Jim Irving (Sue), Valerie Popkie (Shawn) and Ron; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Peg Irving.
As Harold wished, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral service. In his memory, please consider a donation to the Bonnechere Manor Foundation, and maybe raise a glass (beer or Rusty Nail preferred) in a toast to a remarkable brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and – above all else – friend.
The Energizer Bunny’s batteries finally wore out. We will miss him.
