Passed away on Friday July 23, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Hans spent many years in the automotive industry in both Collingwood and Waterloo Region as well as being a dealer principle in the Mazda Canada family. He was an avid & enthusiastic boater in various locations on Georgian Bay. He also had a passion for horses, dogs, rum and the ladies. Hans will be greatly missed by both family and friends. He is survived by his loving son Joshua Schinker (Sarah) and unborn grandson Austin Hans Edward Schinker, his mother Ilse Kovacs, sisters Rita Rolley, Veronica Schinker, Sylvia Schinker and Sylvia Kovacs, nieces & nephews Natasha Schinker, Shannon Rolley, Melanie Skrypec (Steven), Tyler Rolley (Lisa), Ashley Barnard (Daniel) and Hailey Authier, great nieces & nephews– Cyris and Tiana Rolley-Fex, Taylor & Samuel Skrypec, Ava & Ella Barnard and Hunter Rolley and by his longtime companion Debi Ward. Hans was pre deceased by his father John Schinker and stepfather Gustav Kovacs. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held in the very near future. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Princess Margaret Hospital Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
