Obituary
It is with broken hearts the family of Gordon Robichaud of Saint John announce his passing which occurred on Wednesday June 2nd at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John April 2, 1947, he was the son of the late Edmund and Aline (Dugas) Robichaud. Gordon was loving husband, amazing father and adored grampie, who enjoyed working on cars, drag racing in Pennfield, going for long drives and spending time with those he loved. In his earlier years Gordon worked at the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock and Colson Cove followed by many years as a Trucker for Sunbury & Brookville, retiring in 2015. Those who knew and loved him will miss him forever.
Gordon is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years Betty (King) Robichaud; daughters Melissa Kennedy (Wallace) of Sus, Angela Robichaud (Brad) of Hampton and Deanna McHugh of Saint John; 6 grandchildren Christopher, Nicole, Josh, Nicolas, Hughie and Lillie; one great-granddaughter Nina; brother Leo Robichaud (Heather) of Halifax, NS; sister Margo Robichaud of Ontario; brothers-in-law Billy King and Robert King (Debbie); several nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with his parents Gordon was predeceased by his brother Steve Robichaud, brother-in-law Paul King and sister-in-law Ruth King.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) Private family services will be held. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Gordon’s memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
