Gilles Lamoureux
It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Son of the late Paul and late Sébastienne (née Boyer) Lamoureux. Beloved husband of Madeleine (née Roy) Lamoureux. Loving father of André (Kerri) and Marc (Julie). Cherished grandfather of Alexandre, Sébastien, Nicholas and Joëlle. Dear brother of Angèle Lamoureux, Marielle Joly (Jacques), Denis (Norah), Gérard (Carole), Claude (Denise), Lise Bishop (Don), Micheline Lamoureux and Jacques (Sandra). Predeceased by his siblings Marcel (June) and Aurèle (Isabelle). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Gilles will be remembered for his strength, generosity, kindness and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed building furniture for his family, loved camping with his grandchildren and made an amazing lasagna. The family will receive relatives and friends by invitation for a scheduled visitation at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Sunday June 13, 2021 from 2-5 and 7-9:00 pm. Due to the pandemic, there will be a limit in the parlor and masks are mandatory. Funeral Mass by invitation will be celebrated on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St-Dominique Church, Sudbury. C’est avec une grande tristesse que la famille annonce son décès à Sudbury le mercredi 9 juin 2021 à l’âge de 77 ans. Fils de feu Paul et feue Sébastienne (née Boyer) Lamoureux. Époux bien-aimé de Madeleine (née Roy) Lamoureux. Père bien-aimé d’André (Kerri) et Marc (Julie). Grand-papa chéri d’Alexandre, Sébastien, Nicholas et Joëlle. Cher frère d’Angèle Lamoureux, Marielle Joly (Jacques), Denis (Norah), Gérard (Carole), Claude (Denise), Lise Bishop (Don), Micheline Lamoureux et Jacques (Sandra). Prédécédé par ses frères Marcel (June) et Aurèle (Isabelle). Il laisse également dans le deuil plusieurs nièces, neveux, parents et amis. On se souviendra de Gilles pour sa force, sa générosité, sa gentillesse et toujours prêt à donner un coup de main. Il aimait construire des meubles pour sa famille, passer du temps au camping avec ses petits-enfants et il faisait une lasagne incroyable. La famille recevra parents et amis par invitation à la Coopérative Funéraire, 222, boul. Lasalle, Sudbury le dimanche 13 juin 2021 de 14h à 17h et de 19h à 21h. En raison de la pandémie, il y aura une limite dans le salon et les masques sont obligatoires. Une messe funéraire par invitation sera célébrée le lundi 14 juin 2021 à 11 h à l’église St-Dominique, Sudbury.
