MADDOCK, David “George” Ewart (1947-2021)-
It is with great sadness, the family of George Maddock wish to announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, June 12th, 2021, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, in his 74th year. George will be greatly missed by all that knew him and will be forever remembered as a wonderful and much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and good friend to many throughout the Southwestern Ontario area. George was a resident of Tillsonburg for over 25 years. He was formerly a dedicated Transport Truck Professional (for all his life since the age of eighteen), who completed his career at Air Products Transportation, Nanticoke. George loved his family and spending time with them. His main hobbies were woodworking and watching the Toronto Blue Jays- even attending their games on occasion- especially if the tickets were much appreciated Father’s Day Gifts.
Loving husband of 42 years of Rosemary (Hedberg) Maddock and proud and loving father of Dean Maddock (Amanda Somerville) and their children: Tyler and Matthew and Darrell Maddock and his wife Kristin and their children Elliott and Scarlett, of St. Marys, Ontario. Survived by a sister Phyllis, a brother Fred, and a sister Marion. Predeceased by a brother Robert. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Later Private Family Inurnment will take place in the Kirkton Union Cemetery. All who knew George are invited to offer their support by posting photos, sending the family flowers, contributing donations in memoriam, and by sharing heartfelt memories on George’s tribute page at www.verhoevefuneralhomes.com.
