George “Butch”‘s Obituary
PETTET, George Robert Jr. “Butch” – 58, of Barrington Passage, passed away at home in Barrington Passage on Saturday, October 9, 2021. Born at Sandy Point on November 22, 1962, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Lillian (Nickerson) Pettet. Butch was a fan of watching NASCAR, especially #24 Jeff Gordon, who he had a lot of memorabilia for. He also enjoyed golfing and playing cribbage. He was a joker and loved to have a laugh, often “aggravating” the people at work. He is survived by his children, Andrew Pettet, Brianna (Chris) Kenney; grandchildren, Lincoln Kenney, Emerson Kenney; aunt, Bessie “Betty” Blades; uncles, Stanley Nickerson, and William Nickerson. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by aunts, Effie, Beryl, Peggy, Barbara, Estelle; uncles, Karl, Ernest, Ralph, and Orville. The family would like to take this time to thank the VON, all other care workers and Dr. Blair for their care and compassion over the years. Arrangements have been entrusted to H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Barrington. There will be a family graveside held at a later date. Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Online condolences may be sent to huskilson@ns.aliantzinc.ca or you may sign the guest book at www.huskilson.net
