Gary Joseph Lefebvre 1942 2021

Obituary of Gary Joseph Lefebvre
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gary Joseph Lefebvre, on March 18th 2021. His peaceful departure at the age of 78 at his home in Melfort, Saskatchewan saddens us all. Gary was born July 28th 1942 to Joseph and Helen Lefebvre, in Melfort, Saskatchewan. He attended Melinda school, commuting by horse and later went on to study Agriculture at the University of Saskatchewan.
Gary met his future wife, Anita, in the school band where he was a trumpeter and courted her for many years. They married in 1971 and so began their farming life together. The family farm was in the close-knit Pleasant Valley community and Gary and Anita never missed a fall supper, work bee or dance at the hall. He retired from farming after nearly 50 years.
Family was very important to Gary; many trips were made to visit Joel and Naomi and their families. He was a devoted Zaida to the grandchildren and very much looked forward to their annual summer reunions. He was a kind, generous, and loving brother, father, uncle and friend and he will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
Gary is lovingly remembered by his son, Joel and his wife Kristin; daughter, Naomi and her husband David; and five delightful grandchildren, Simon, Freya, Lewis, Seth and Bronwyn. As well as brother, Moe; sister-in-law, Audrey; sister, Simone; brother-in-law, Ken; brother-in-law, Morley; and many nieces and nephews whom he adored. He was pre-deceased by his loving and much missed wife of 37 years Anita and beloved brother Ken.
A private family burial will take place at the Agudas Israel Cemetery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of their choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gary
