Gale’s Obituary
Gale Kozmanuk of Regina and formerly from Stenen, SK, passed away peacefully at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina, SK, on the evening of June 24, 2021, at the age of 60 years.
Gale grew up on a farm outside of Stenen with her parents and her favourite pet cow. Gale moved to Regina in her adult years and went on to have a successful career at Equifax and CUETS financial. She raised her two children in Regina and was able to spend a lot of time with her grandchildren.
Gale was diagnosed with progressive MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and fought a long hard battle with the illness. During the difficulties of MS, she persevered and never gave up. Daily, Gale showed many what a strong, vibrant woman she was. She will be missed by so many family and close friends.
Gale was predeceased by her loving father, George Kozmanuk.
She is survived by her mother, Rosie Kozmanuk; spouse, Micheal Buchanan; son, Denver Carswell (Alexus); daughter, Cara Carswell (Donaldo); and grandchildren: Tianna, Hayden, Nathalia, Anthony and Angelica; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In Gale’s honour, a Public Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 4, 2021, from the Chapel of Leson’s Funeral Home, Canora, SK. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 5, 2021, at the Canora Cemetery, Canora, SK, with Rev. Fr. Petro Tsenov officiating. Those wishing to make expressions of sympathy may make donations to Lucky Paws Dog Rescue or to the Regina Humane Society, as tokens of remembrance, in memory of Gale Kozmanuk.
