Gaetano D’Addario
October 10, 1957-July 30, 2021
It is with incredible sadness that we share the passing of Gaetano D’Addario at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital on July 30, 2021. Leaving us too early, his memory will be cherished and kept alive by his family and friends. Guy was a devoted husband and best friend of Teresa for 41 years. He was an extremely proud and loving father to Cristina (Frank), Angelo (Sandra) and Anthony, and a caring brother to Joe (Mary). Guy adored his grandchildren, Arianna and Alessio, and will be forever missed by his sister and brother in laws and many nieces and nephews. Guy’s greatest passion in life was spending time with his adoring wife Teresa and his kids. Although Guy was a man of few words, he will be remembered by everyone for his profoundly impactful actions. He had a wonderful way of always surprising you with his generous spirit, romantic nature, and quirky sense of humour.
When Guy wasn’t spending time with his family and friends, he was entrenched in his second love, his work family. He demonstrated an unrivaled work ethic that was passed down from his predeceased parents, Angelo and Immacolata. He found a way to combine his passion of family and working hard; alongside his father, brother, wife and children; his dream came to life. He truly loved what he did to impact the health of the community and all of the relationships he built along the way.
Visitations will take place at the Ward Funeral Home Woodbridge location on Monday, August 2 from 2 to 5 pm and 6 to 9 pm. Please RSVP online. The Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 9:30 am at St David’s Parish (2601 Major Mackenzie Dr, east of Jane Street). Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill (Bayview entrance).

Death notice for the town of: Woodbridge, Province: Ontario
Living in Kitchener and after closing my business a year and half ago, I did not have a chance to see Guy but this morning I was in the area and decided to go there and say a Hello. I did see his car and it was strange to me. Looking for him in the store, nothing and finally, an employee who recognized me told me what happened. I am very sad but he will stay in my heart forever. Guy was very kind and gave me useful advices and even offered me a financial help to save my business.
Angelo, Anthony and the rest of family, please accept my deepest condolences.
