Obituary of Fred Saunders
SAUNDERS – Roswell Frederick George “Fred” of Rodney, formerly of St. Thomas and Kerwood, passed away at his home on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the age of 73. Fred is survived by his four daughters Stephanie (Leroy) Martin of Alberta, Shelley Carlson-Saunders of Bothwell, Marnie Saunders (Casey Fish) of St. Thomas, and Meredith Saunders of London; by his grandchildren Megan, Brittany (Russell), Jessica (Quinton), Kyle (Samantha), Kayla, Cody and Caden, Riley and Peyton, Bailey, Brooklyn; by his 4 great grandchildren; by his sisters Donna Saunders of London and Barb (Jack) Gammon of St. Thomas; and by his nieces, nephews and friends. Fred was born in Glencoe, Ontario to the late Roswell and Doris Saunders. He worked at Canron and later as a millwright at Presstran Industries. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family gathering was held prior to cremation and a private interment of ashes will be held on a later date. If desired, donations in memory of Fred can be made to the London Health Science Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
