EMIN, Frederick “Fred” Jr., 58, of Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2021, at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Yarmouth, December 19, 1962, he was a son to Fred Sr. and Myrtle (Ryan) Emin.
Fred was a 3rd generation butcher and owner of Emin’s Meat Market, Yarmouth. He appreciated the loyalty of all his customers and always had a joke or a story to tell. He would give his advice freely to anyone who would ask him and helped his community and advocated in any way possible. Fred was a member of the 100 Guys Who Care. In his spare time, Fred enjoyed riding his motorcycle or being outdoors. He was a loving father and friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; daughter, Jade (Jordan d’Entremont), Tusket; son, Luke, Dartmouth; brothers, Brian (April), Yarmouth; David (Alana), Cole Harbour; Bruce, Annapolis Valley; sisters, Pam (Joe) Mood, Yarmouth; Lori (John Ryan), Yarmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 30, 2021, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Yarmouth. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021, at 2 pm, also from Sweeny’s Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. A private family interment will follow in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
The visitation is open to the public. The Funeral Service will be available by reserved seating only. To reserve a seat, please contact Sweeny’s Funeral Home at 902-742-3245 ( Only 70 seats available). A Livestream of the funeral will be available on the Sweeny’s Funeral Home website.
