On September 17, 2021, Mrs. Evelyn Cora Desjarlais of Elizabeth Metis Settlement passed away at the age of 65 years. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 43 years, Claude Desjarlais; children, Wesley Amable of Edmonton, Cheryl Amable (Aaron) of Cold Lake, Shermayna Desjarlais of Edmonton & Claude Jr. Desjarlais of Elizabeth Metis Settlement; 6 grandchildren, Brooklynne Desjarlais, Jereden Herman, Montana Janvier, Chloe Tse, Joshua Amable & Addison Fitzgerald; 2 great-grandchildren, Kasha Desjarlais & Kora Desjarlais; 3 sisters, Ann (Roderick) Charland, Sue Evans & Jenni Piche (Raymond) all of Cold Lake. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, Victor & Monique Amable; sister, Mary (Ernest) Piche; 3 brothers, Alphonse (Bernice) Amable, Gordon Amable & Sylvester Amable; great-grandbaby, Baby Thomas Desjarlais; & brother-in-law, Bill Evans. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Miracle Valley Gospel Church, Elizabeth Metis Settlement. Mr. Leonard Grovenski, Pastor Claude Desjarlais & Reverend Ron Hamilton will be officiating, with interment in Cold Lake First Nations Cemetery, Cold Lake.
