Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital on February 3, 2021 at the age of 100 years. Beloved wife of the late Ernest C. Shaffer who predeceased her in January of 2019. Loving mother of Barbara Abram and her husband Robert. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Brett and Clint Abram and great grandchildren, Benjamin, Kate and Kyle Abram as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Ersula was predeceased by her parents Robert and Pearl Ferguson and she was the last surviving member of her siblings Donald, Fred, Merrill, Mervin, Helen and Meta.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Ersula’s life will be held at Oakland Cemetery in the spring of 2021
Thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Brockville General Hospital for their care and kindness as well as the Bridlewood Staff, the LHIN and the Bayshore Services for all their compassion and kindness shown to Ersula and her family over these last few years. As expressions of sympathy, please consider a donation in Ersula’s memory to Brockville General Hospital Foundation, CNIB, The Brockville Public Library or the Canadian Hearing Society.
