It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Elsie Hynes of St. Bernard’s announces her passing. Elsie passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at the age of 72.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her; children, Lisa Burton (Michael) of Little Bay East, Nicole Banfield (Brent), St. Bernard’s, Pauline Clarke (Elias Jr) of Bay L’Argent, Claudette Denty (Wallace) of St. Bernard’s, and Samuel Hynes (Ann Marie) of Ft. McMurray; 9 grandchildren, Jamie, Lynette, Brianna, Rebecca, Logan, Spencer, Kaine, Samuel, and Eva; 3 great-grandchildren, Leo-James, Lincoln, and Jesse; sisters, Shirley Bullen (Clarence) of St. John’s, and Gloria Scott-Lodge (Terry) of Catalina; brothers, Maxwell Scott (Catherine) of St. John’s, Clyde Scott (Elsie) of Little Harbour East, Samuel Scott (Diane) of Bay L’Argent, Brian Scott (Sandy) of Ontario, and Guy Scott (Sharon) of Little Harbour East; brothers-in-law, Lewis Banfield of Bay L’Argent and Patrick Hynes of St. Bernards; plus a large number of family and friends.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Samuel; her parents, George and Elizabeth Scott; sisters, Olive Banfield and Lillian martin; brothers-in-law, Henry Martin and Chesley Tibbo.
Visitation and Funeral Details will be announced at a later time.
Donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John’s, NL
