MUSSIO, Elena (nee Vaccher)
Passed away peacefully on September 15, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Celeste “Tino” Mussio having shared 63 years of marriage. Loving and devoted mother to Loretta Del Mul (Andy). Loving Nonna to Christina (Kevin), Cassandra (Nathan), Lauren (Cole) and Alana (Alec). Cherished bisnonna of Kaden and Jace. Predeceased by parents Lino and Maria Vaccher and daughter in-law of Pietro and Vincenza Mussio. Dear sister to Marco Vaccher (Maria), Renata Valvasori (the late Bertino) Loris Vaccher (Kathi), Gianni Vaccher (Jane). Predeceased by baby sister Loretta Vaccher. Dear sister in-law of the late Zinali and his surviving wife Dina Mussio, and her God daughter and niece Joyce Mussio-Sauro. She will be dearly missed and fondly thought of by many nieces and nephews. Elena worked at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital in housekeeping and Glengarda taking care of children. She had a great passion for cooking, making her famous lasagna and cherry pie. She was always in the garden taking care of the vegetables and flowers, making sure everything was perfect. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. She was always putting everyone before herself. She had a big heart and beautiful smile. She will be greatly missed. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East, 519-253-7234 on Sunday, September 19, 2021, from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A private funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Masks must be worn while in the funeral home. If you desire, donations to In Honour of the Ones we Love would be appreciated.
