1933 – 2021
Peacefully, at home, on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in her eighty-nineth year. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Janice and Mark Sherman, and Jeffrey Silver. Beloved ‘Nami’ of Genna, Jake and Lexi Sherman; Zachary and Hilary Silver. Devoted daughter of the late Rae and the late Joseph Frank. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Barbara and the late John Polk. Loving aunt to her niece and nephew. Eleanor will be deeply mourned by her family and friends.
Eleanor’s family is immensely proud of the way she lived her life. Kind and loving, smart and independent, she loved flowers and music, art and books. In everything she did, she always rose to the top. Eleanor had a Master’s degree in Social Work, was a President of her Home & School Association, a volunteer and guide at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for twenty years and a President of the Association. She was a constant presence in her grandchildren’s lives. Her love, patience and guidance has had a lasting impact on their lives. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the 2nd floor nursing and support staff at Place Kensington for their kind and compassionate care.
