Obituary of Eileen Woods
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen Woods at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, in her 91st year.
Survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Gerald Woods. Also survived by her sons, Rod and Gail of Bolton, Gary and Laurette of Courtice, David and Janice of Baltimore (ON), Gord and Linda of Oakville, and their families.
Eileen was born in England in 1930 and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She has been a resident in Owen Sound since 1979. The Woods family thanks the staff at GBHS for the comforting care Eileen received in her last days.
A private memorial service to celebrate Eileen’s life will be held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, Owen Sound, 519-376-7492, on Thursday, August 5, 2021 and a celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home. Condolences can be sent to the family by visiting Eileen’s online memorial at www.woodfuneralhome.ca.
