The death occurred at Hillsborough Hospital, Charlottetown on
Saturday, July 17, 2021 of Edward “Eddie” Lee Bernard,
member of Lennox Island First Nation aged 63. Eddie was born on
January 10, 1958 in Tyne Valley, son of the late John Henry and Anita
Belle (Labobe) Bernard.
Dear brother to Wendell (Cathy), Lennox Island, Judy Peters ,
Pag’tnkek First Nation; James Wayne Bernard, Lennox Island; Patricia
(Peter Legere), Lennox Island; Sandra (Vincent) Basque, Pat’tnkek
First Nation and John Jr. Lennox Island. Eddie is also survived by his
uncle Hardy Labobe, Alberton; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces
and great nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, sister Gloria, brothers Patrick,
Preston, Johnny Mitchell and brother in law Emmett
Peters.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel. Due to
current restrictions, private visiting hours for invited guests and
private funeral mass at St. Annes Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island
First Nation for invited guests. Interment to follow in the parish
cemetery.
