Eamonn Browne March 14th 1945 August 11th 2021

Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Marshall Gowland Manor, Eamonn Browne passed away at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Jenny and loving father of David (Kathleen), Edward (Viviana), and Catherine (Tom) Kelly. Cherished granddad of Skylia, Maliki, Myles, Isabella, Nicolas, Claire, and Sean. Treasured brother of Anne (Paddy) Flynn and brother-in-law of Brendan (Chris) Hyland. Remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ned and Carmel Browne and by his siblings Christopher (Margaret) and Kay (George) Plunkett.
Eamonn was born in Dublin, Ireland, and enjoyed gathering with family to reminisce about family history and engage in lively debates on current events. Irish history and culture were particularly passionate topics of conversation. In his youth he was a skilled Gaelic Football player and later an avid golfer, like his father. He was a Millwright at Nova for many years and was heavily involved in the union. Eamonn was a charismatic and witty person and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched. Special thank you to the staff of Marshall Gowland Manor, especially Nurse Amy, for their care and compassion.
A private Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. The family invites you to view the service via live stream on Eamonn’s memorial page on the Smith Funeral Home website at 10:00 a.m.
Interment will be held in Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
