Obituary of Drago Znidarsic
ZNIDARSIC, Drago – Of St. Thomas, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 3, 2021, in his 88th year. Beloved husband for 65 years to the late Anna (née Gustin) Znidarsic (2018). Dearly loved father of Georgina Fric (Joe). Cherished grandfather of Danny Fric, David Fric, Christina Palmer (Ryan), and Michelle Butler (Brett). He was proud of his great grandchildren, Aylla and Emery Butler, and Brayden and Jordyn Palmer. Also fondly remembered by his nieces, Ankica, Pepica, and Stefica, and many friends. He was born on March 11, 1933 in Dojutrovica, Vivodina, Croatia. Drago was a retired employee of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters. He was a member of St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London, where he sang in the choir for many years. One of Drago’s favourite things to do was fishing with his grandchildren. A private visitation for the immediate family will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160). A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Leopold Mandic Croatian Catholic Church, London, followed by interment in Holy Angels’ Cemetery, St. Thomas. (A properly worn mask or face covering is required at the funeral home and at the church). If so desired, memorial donations to the church will be gratefully acknowledged. Special thanks to Dr. Darius Ho, the PSWs, nurses, and respiratory technicians for the wonderful care provided to Drago.
