Dr David A McLean Monday May 31st 2021

Dr. David McLean, MD
After a happy and fulfilling life, it is with great sadness, we announce David’s death on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Alyson (nee Mackay) for 40 years. Father of Scott (Sarah) McLean and Lindsay (Sean) Morrison. Proud grandfather of Eleanor and Elias McLean and Kayden and Aubrey Morrison.
Brother of Linda (Norm) Porritt and brother-in-law of Anne St. Dennis and Marty Kepman. Uncle of Jennifer, Susan, Cameron and Lesley.
David loved his job at the Royal Ottawa Hospital where he worked as a clinical psychiatrist for over 30 years at the Family Court Clinic. His passion was collecting and selling coins as the “Ottawa Coin Man”. He had a very positive attitude towards life and the health challenges he faced. His wit and sense of humour were some of his amazing qualities.
Many thanks to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital and May Court Hospice.
No funeral service at this time. A celebration of his life will be held after Covid. Arrangements by Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, Central Chapel (315 McLeod Street).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation or Hospice Care Ottawa, May Court Hospice, 114 Cameron Ave., Ottawa K1S 0X1, would be appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Dr David A McLean Monday May 31st 2021..

  1. Beth and I were saddened to hear of David’s passing. He will be remembered fondly both as a neighbour and a curling friend at the Hunt Club.

Sincere condolences to Alyson and family.
