Obituary
It is with full hearts that the family of Douglas “Doug” Elwood Hudson announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 9, 2021. Born in Andover, NB on April 10, 1946, Doug was a son of the late John and Dorothy (Sloat) Hudson. Doug worked for many years as a Project Manager in the construction business; he was an art gallery owner, and a philosopher. Doug is survived by his wife Maxine (Blaney) Hudson; his daughter Heidi Jane Hudson of Vancouver, BC; his step-daughter Victoria Lambert; his step-sons: Andrew Storey, David Storey & Matthew Storey; his brother Gene Hudson of Grand Manan; his sisters: Margaret McAllister of Lethbridge, AB and Dorothy Riemer of Victoria, BC; his close friends: Roger Bryson & family, Kevin & Karen Bonner, Linda Henderson, and Sean Moore; as well as by many extended family members and friends. He had many “favourite” grandchildren, nieces & nephews that he adored and who will cherish the laughter and shananigans that he brought to every occasion. Doug was predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers and 1 sister. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). There will be no visitation or funeral services as per Doug’s wishes. Donations to a Mental Health Association of your personal choice would be appreciated by the family.
