Obituary
Doreen Joan Dietrich was born in 1939 to Arthur and Mary Jensen. After a short battle with cancer, she passed away on July 26, 2021 at the Chinook Regional Hospital.
Doreen married Ed Dietrich in 1957, and they spent 64 wonderful years together. When Ed’s career took him to Edmonton, Doreen showed her support by moving north. Together, they started their family. They had three children, Marilyn (Stephen) Brown, Kathleen (Wayne) Rustling, and Kristen Jensen.
She was a member of the LDS church for some time. She loved to knit and crochet. She really enjoyed watching sports, including hockey, wrestling and boxing. She cheered for the Calgary Flames. She also enjoyed cooking and was a good cook. She had a keen interest in traveling and did so from time to time throughout her life. Once to Hawaii with her husband Ed Dietrich. She traveled across Canada, visited the USA, and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Doreen was a devote animal lover and had many pets. She was a dearly loving person to her friends, family, and pets.
A life beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us for a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Christensen Salmon Generations Funeral Home, 703 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge.
