Obituary of Donald George Klages
Donald George Klages passed away peacefully at home in Williamsford with his loving children by his side, on Wednesday morning, February 17th, 2021, at the age of 69 years. Adored father of Melissa Klages (Troy Baron), of Revelstoke, BC, Margie Stafford (Kurt), of Williamsford and Ryan Klages, of Winnipeg, MB. Exceptional grandfather to Wyatt, Nolan, Sophie and Piper. Dear brother of Jerry Klages (Judy), of Woodstock, Dave Klages (Barb), of Elmwood, Keith Klages (Jean), of Desboro, Bob Klages (Ruth), of Clarksburg, Lynn Kennedy, of Balmy Beach, Fred Klages (Dawn), of Desboro, Beth Fenton (Robert), of Hepworth, Jeff Klages (Penny), of Shallow Lake and Steve Klages, of Cambridge. Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mary Klages; his beloved brother, Brad Klages; his brothers-in-law, Ray Vanwyck and Ren Kennedy.
Don had an appreciation for the simple things in life. His wit, integrity and dedication to family will continue to influence those he loved most. Visitation will be held at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street, West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Due to COVID19 restrictions all attendees must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and RSVP through the funeral home website or by calling the funeral home. A Private Memorial Service for Donald George Klages will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, February 22nd, 2021 with Rev. Sheilah Fletch officiating. Spring interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsford. Friends are welcome to watch the service at 1:00 p.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca).
