Ransom – Donald John Obituary
September 21, 1940 – July 15, 2021
Passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario.
Don’s passion was hunting, fishing and fixing equipment. He spent many days and evenings in the backyard repairing lawnmowers, snow blowers and weed whackers for neighbours and their friends. He was known to many people as the “Lawnmower Doctor” in the Mississauga and Brampton Area.
Don was married and was a superior husband to Ruth (nee Tyndall) for 52 years. Don was the father of two sons, Thomas and Michael. Brother-in-law to Gordon and Earl Tyndall, sister-in-law Ruby (Bruce) Elliot. Don was from a large family. Sadly missed by his siblings Sidney, Ruth, Lucy, Raymond, Leonard, Betty, and Earl. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Ellen (nee Tremblay) Ransom and siblings Ronald, Kenneth, Annette, Kathleen, Marie, Blanche, Richard and Henry. Don will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Special thank you to our special friends Sandra, Edith, Josie, Nacho and Cecilia, Sam and Lori, for their support at this difficult time.
Cremation has taken place through Ward Funeral Homes “Brampton” Chapel.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
