It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Donald LaSaga announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Saturday, August 14,2021 at the age of 59 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife, Veronica Colombe; two sons: Anthony of Airdrie, AB, Dustin (Leah) of Kippens; four daughters: Faustina (Matt) of Calgary, AB, Tenia of St. John’s, Alyshia of Stephenville, Cheyanne (Alisawe) of Barachois Brook; seven brothers: Gary (Lynn) of Stephenville, Stan (Nora) of BC, Todd of NS, Lloyd of NS, Cory of AB, Kenny (Sonya) of Stephenville, Rene of Stephenville; four sisters: Carmie (Walter) of Flat Bay, Rose (Larry) of Guelph, ON, Lorraine (Mike) of NS, Wanda (Kevin) of Guelph, ON; six grandchildren: Mya, Kinsley, Mason, Aiden, Amelia, Layla, and a large circle of relatives and friends including special friends Chris LaVallee, Danny Cormier, Dan Moss, Blake Gabriel.
He was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Seneth LaSaga,first wife Colleen, sister-in-law Andrea LaSaga.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 from 2-4 pm (family only) and 7-9 pm at Russell’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 at 10am from St. Stephen’s Parish with inurnment to follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on Hansen Highway.
Donnie was an avid fisherman, loved the outdoors, having backyard fires and spending time at the beach. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
