Deborah Sheryl Scott
October 24, 1970 – July 21, 2021
Deborah Sheryl Scott (nee Johnson) passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at the Sundre Hospital at the age of 50, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Deb was born on October 24, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta to Fred and Gloria Johnson. She grew up in Cochrane, spending her younger years camping and enjoying life.
Deb lived for her children and spent many years supporting them in 4-H, rodeo, and their passions for agriculture. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jim Scott; her children, Shayelyn, Briley, Tayanah, and Haydyn Scott; her mother, Gloria Johnson; brother, Bill (Lisa) Johnson and his children, Tyson and Jennifer; grandmother, Mary Johnson; as well as numerous extended family members. Deb was predeceased by her father Fred Johnson and sister in law, Kim Johnson. Deb’s family would like to thank the Sundre Hospital and Care Centre for their continued care of Deb during her stay, as well as friends, family, and other community members for their continued support.
A Celebration of Deb’s Life will be held on Tuesday, August 3 at 2pm at the Bergen Church. For those unable to attend, a livestream of the service will be broadcast through the provided link: vimeo.com/event/1165947 .
