David Joseph Leblanc Saturday December 18th 2021

It is with heavy hearts but with honour and pure gratitude for having had him as our father, that we announce the passing of Dave LeBlanc, 82, who was currently residing at The Meadows Home for Special care. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 18,2021. To know this man was to love him and he was loved by so many. He was a gentle soul with a big heart and a constant smile, and his sense of humour always kept us entertained. He was Born in Morris Island ,August 11, 1939. He was a son to the late Alfred and Anne (Fitzgerald) Leblanc. David was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Eucharist minister, member of the church choir, children’s Liturgy, and 4th degree knight of the William Penny Chapter #2181. He was also the President of the Residents’ Council at The Meadows. He could play so many instruments, all by ear, and the guitar was always close at hand. He enjoyed playing for seniors and fundraisers with Vic and the Boys, and the Knights’ choir, and was always ready to entertain us at any time. He worked as a chef for 29 years on the Bluenose Ferry and operated a catering business with his wife Bev. He was a huge Blue Jays fan and could always be found at the rink watching The Mariners play hockey. He was an amazing father, and is survived by daughters, Wendy (Raymond Jacquard) Dixon, Yarmouth; Rachelle (Peter Churchill) Leblanc, Yarmouth; son, Craig (Kelly) Leblanc, Middle Sackville; His grandchildren meant the world to him and his love for them shone so brightly. He will be incredibly missed by Maggie and Noah; Ryerson, Annelise and Kaden; Annika and one precious great grandchild, Willow. He is also survived by brothers Harvey (Joan); Edward (Ida).
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Beverly (Surette); brother, Joseph; sisters, Jeanette and Annie. We would like to extend a deep thank you to the wonderful staff at The Meadows for their kindness and care. They were family too.
